Red Sky July - A Diferent Kind Of Country Music

Red Sky July

Charity Hair and husband and wife duo Ally Mcerlaine and Shelly Poole.
Red Sky July came together to make music they love without boundaries or expectations. It was set to be a ‘soul food’ side project, however one day a week soon became seven and a group of songs with a hazy, alt country, Americana inflected sound soon found their way into shaping and becoming a whole new venture. Prior to the band entering the studio to record their début album however, the entire project was put on standby as Ally suffered a major brain aneurysm and was in a critical state for over a year. Red Sky July put the album on hold for Ally to concentrate on recovering – which he did – defying all the odds stacked against him. The band reconvened to record the album, managing to capture a raw and mesmerizing sound in the studio, which translated beautifully in the recordings. Upon release of their self-titled début album and throughout 2012 Red Sky July garnered much critical acclaim and media support.

Nell Bryden

has the heart of an artist, the mind of a storyteller and the restless soul of a troubadour.
These traits are in the genes of the native New Yorker – her parents are a painter and opera singer. But the self-belief and tireless work ethic that have seen her travel 300,000 miles to play 1,400 shows over the past seven years are all her own. Along the way Nell Bryden has picked up numerous fans, a few good friends, and a lifetime of tales to tell. “Shake The Tree” is one step on that journey.
